Wow. Traveling SUCKS. I’m a pretty active person, so having to sit on a plane for 6 hours is straight up cruel. We got lucky this time around and caught flights that were at reasonable hours. I’ve been stuck on a red-eye to NY multiple times for whatever reason. Takes a good 2 days to recover from that, plus the 3 hour time difference. I traveled to Tanzania about 5 years ago, so I guess I can’t complain. But good grief Charlie Brown, traveling is THE WORST.
Little dog came with. She’s not a huge fan of air travel herself. Shoot, I’d be pretty pissed if I had to be stuck in a small bag underneath a seat in the cabin too. She’s a great traveler though. Has been making the trip back and forth with me since we moved out here to sunny California.
Once we got there, we dropped off the man of the house and his little sis who we scooped up down in the city to visit their family about an hour and a half away. Little dog was co-piloting per usual and chose some luggage to snooze on. You do you little dog.
We saw some amazing scenery all weekend. This time of year is awesome to be visiting NY. The color changes in the fall are absolutely gorgeous. We just caught the very beginning, so it wasn’t as vibrant, but it was great to catch some of it after missing out from being on the west coast for the last 3.5 years.
We didn’t do a whole lot besides spend time with the family and watch some football, but that’s exactly what short trips like this are for! Little dog is REALLY into football…
We flew back Monday night and now it’s back to the grind. Back to studying for the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam, making some awesome jewelry pieces, CrossFitting and envying little dog couch snoozes.
